Supporting the health and wellbeing of our community is in our credit union DNA. That’s why we fundraise in support of local nonprofit initiatives that bolster our community today and into our future.

Support our local food banks now through May 31, 2025
Did you know that 1 in 6 people in SLO County and 1 in 3 in Santa Barbara County struggle with food insecurity?
Many of which are children and seniors. That’s where our local food banks come in — with the support of our communities and the Food Bank’s networks or wholesalers and partners, every $1 donated buys enough food to provide 4 nutritious, wholesome meals.
Join us throughout May in support of the food banks of San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties in an effort to ensure our neighbors don’t go hungry.

In 2024 SESLOC employees, members, and community partners raised over $87,300 in combined support for our fundraisers for our local food banks, childhood literacy, and the Family Care Network.

Thank You for “Giving Joy”
We recently held a holiday fundraiser in our branches and online in support of the Family Care Network. This local nonprofit supports children and youth in foster care, as well as families struggling with homelessness and unhealed trauma in San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara Counties this holiday season.
Building Bright Futures Together: Thank You for Supporting Childhood Literacy
SESLOC is honored to have continued our partnership with KSBY News for a fourth year in a row in support of childhood literacy through the “If You Give a Child a Book…” campaign, a collaboration facilitated by the Scripps Howard Foundation. Together, from August 5 to September 15, the community, SESLOC members and SESLOC employee’s collective efforts resulted in the successful fundraising of $72,594.
Thank You for Your Support in Fighting Hunger Within Our Community!
For a fifth year in a row, SESLOC held a fundraiser for the SLO Food Bank and Food Bank of Santa Barbara County this past May. With the support from employees and members, SESLOC raised $12,061.89.
