While our 80th celebrations have ended, our appreciation for our members and support for our community goes on. Check out our community fundraisers and education grants program, and stay tuned for more pop-up member celebrations in the future!
Our heart and focus is People & Place.
Our roots go back to 1942 when 10 school employees came together with a vision of building a credit union — a financial institution based on people helping people. In 2022, we celebrated our 80th anniversary with our 57,000+ members as the longest-established, locally headquartered financial institution on the Central Coast. While a lot has changed over the last eight decades, our commitment to our community and members hasn’t.

Did you know? SESLOC was formed in 1942 with just $500 in assets. Because of you and the support from our community, we have grown to more than a billion in assets over the last 80 years.
To honor this achievement, we gave $500 to 80 local nonprofits. Funds helped support programs or simply offered lunch or a little treat for all of the hard-working staff and volunteers.
Our incredible staff is nominated their favorite 501-(c)(3)-designated organizations throughout the year. Each month we announced eight of the selected nonprofits (beginning in March and through December).

By working together, we can build a more sustainable community for generations to come. In honor of 80 years of operation, we completed 80 local acts of sustainability throughout 2022.
We participated in community activities to clean our environmental spaces, encouraged members to use our digital and paperless banking solutions among members, championed initiatives that reduce our carbon footprint, and more.
