SESLOC Education Grants helped local teachers make the 2023–2024 school year extra special. Here’s how a few recent recipients used their grants:
- Sinsheimer Elementary School in San Luis Obispo bought supplies for students to help the teacher raise baby chicks.
- Nipomo Elementary School acquired track and field equipment to enhance the physical education curriculum.
- Ocean View Elementary School in Arroyo Grande purchased a subscription to Scholastic News for a lesson on following and analyzing current events.
- Plus, multiple teachers have been able to buy phonics tools and books to support childhood literacy.
