We’re partnering with News Channel 12 to honor nonprofit volunteers who make our community thrive. Each month, we’re choosing a different nonprofit and asking them to select a valuable volunteer to receive the SESLOC Cares for Community Award. We are thrilled to introduce our latest recipient, Lisa Murray, from CASA of Santa Barbara County.
Lisa Murray, a third-generation Central Coast resident, embodies community spirit. Lisa has been involved with CASA of Santa Barbara County, serving as an advocate for 16 children.
The past five years she has served on the Board and has chaired the annual fundraising event for 17 years. Lisa is inspired by Edmund Burke’s quote “nobody makes a greater mistake than he who does nothing because he can only do a little.”
Congratulations Lisa, SESLOC’s Community Cares Award recipient. Thank you for making our community stronger.
