We’re partnering with News Channel 12 to honor nonprofit volunteers who make our community thrive. Each month, we’re choosing a different nonprofit and asking them to select a valuable volunteer to receive the SESLOC Cares for Community Award. We are thrilled to introduce our latest recipient, Mike Byrd, from the 5Cities Homeless Coalition.
Meet Mike Byrd, a passionate force for change. Serving as president of the 5Cities Homeless Coalition for 6 years and continuing as a volunteer, Mike ensures that the organization’s mission is fulfilled.
His leadership has expanded services to medically fragile homeless individuals, creating a stronger, more compassionate community. But Mike doesn’t stop there. He’s a hands-on volunteer. Whether it’s helping at the Winter Warming Center, finding housing for families in need, or advocating for the vulnerable, Mike goes above and beyond.
