We’re partnering with News Channel 12 to honor nonprofit volunteers who make our community thrive. Each month, we’re choosing a different nonprofit and asking them to select a valuable volunteer to receive the SESLOC Cares for Community Award. We are thrilled to introduce our latest recipient, Ray Segovia, from the Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes Center.
Ray Segovia, a lifelong resident of the Santa Maria Valley, has a deep-rooted connection to the Guadalupe-Nipomo dunes.
For over 13 years, Ray has volunteered as a docent for the Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes Center, sharing his passion with others by leading hikes through the coastal areas he’s known since boyhood.
Ray introduces people to the flora, fauna, and rich history of the beautiful dunes.
Ray, your enthusiasm and dedication make you a deserving recipient. Congratulations on being chosen for the SESLOC Cares for Community award!
