For the third consecutive year, SESLOC is recognized as one of the best workplaces for families! We’re proud to announce our BLUE Diamond award from San Luis Obispo County Family-Friendly Workplaces for creating a family-friendly culture for all of our employees.
To earn our BLUE Diamond award – the second-highest award tier – SESLOC has committed to support families by implementing at least 6 family-friendly policies in five benefit categories and implement at least one of the high impact practices the organization identified. In addition to a health benefits package which includes medical, dental, and vision coverage for the employee and their family, some of the ways we make managing family obligations easier include:
- Telecommuting opportunities with supervisor’s approval
- Paid time off programs, including vacation, sick days, and holidays
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP) available to all employees and their families
- Educational Reimbursement Program for employees to learn new skills to benefit their job growth
- Opportunities for community volunteer work with your family
The Family-Friendly Workplaces program was created by the Family-Friendly Workplace Accelerator Program, is hosted by the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce, and sponsored by First 5 San Luis Obispo County and the County of San Luis Obispo. The program goal is to help local businesses “attract and sustain a strong, inclusive local workforce through the implementation of family-friendly workplace policies.”
