The San Luis Obispo Children’s Museum supports growing minds with hands-on activities for kids to learn by doing — and by providing resources and programs for at-home learning. Michelle Jenkins, Executive Director, explains how the nonprofit museum guides learning through fun:

What’s unique about the SLO Children’s Museum? Our tag line is “where learn-by-doing begins!” and that really sums it up. Everything here is experiential, investigative, and imaginative. The modern town square.
What do you attribute to your success? Creative and hardworking employees and a supportive community.
What advice would you give someone interested in supporting your mission? Jump in! Our neighbors and friends suggest exhibits, sponsor our annual fundraiser, and volunteer on our committees and boards. The museum also recently reopened after 13 months of being closed for COVID.
