For a fifth year in a row, SESLOC held a fundraiser for the SLO Food Bank and Food Bank of Santa Barbara County this past May. With the support from employees and members, SESLOC raised a combined $12,061.89. Every dollar that is donated provides enough food for multiple meals. That means together, our contribution will provide thousands of meals to those in need in our community!
Since the pandemic, our food banks have doubled their distribution in our communities, with 1 in 6 people in SLO County and 1 in 4 in Santa Barbara County struggling with food insecurity. Many of those in need are seniors and children. Knowing that the need is great here on the Central Coast, thank you so much for partnering with us in supporting our local food banks.
